Solution: first you have to find "control panel" in Windows 8.1 it took me all day HP removed the switch, and eschewing the term everyone is looking for: " touch pad", for the much more frustrating and confusing " Control Zone ", effectively hid the enable box deep behind the inscrutable Windows 8.1 Obsfucation System. (wait till you see what HP considers a good "default" setting for their "zone") I have no experience with Win 8 until today. here's how I did it in Win 8.1 on my new laptop. You did not say what Obsfucation System you are using. Good for you Crotalus, it took me all day to learn that "Control Zone" is HP-Speak for "touch pad". I prefer my wireless mouse and this is a touch screen. The Control Zone Touch Pad on my HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC is preventing me from being able to comfortably type.
